After the success of  windows 8 and 8.1 in PC, tablets and smart phones. Windows 8 is successful with touch technology in all the electronic devices which needed Operating System. Now , Microsoft want to make the user end easy and successful with new Operating System which is  Microsoft windows 9.  


Latest feature of Windows 9 :


We expect that Windows 9 will be 64-bit only, although we expected that for Windows 8 and we were wrong. A lot depends - as ever with Microsoft - on what OEMs want to build, and what Intel gives them with which to build.
One thing that Microsoft has to do is allow Windows Phone and Windows RT apps to run on both Windows Phone and Windows. Even Xbox apps should become cross compatible. You may also be able to pin Metro apps to the taskbar. Also expect to see Kinect-based 3D gestures to be enabled for laptops with 3D cameras - basically the ability to control your computer with gestures.
Microsoft's recent pronouncements suggest a full return of the Start menu and that Windows 8-style apps will be able to run on the desktop. Windows 9 will definitely be less traumatic a chance for desktop users.
One key - although less obvious - development is likely to be much improved power management. The rise of mobile devices has made battery life a key battle ground for Windows. Intel has done its part, massively improving power management with its latest generation of mobile processors. But the Windows software needs to keep pace, so expect Microsoft to make great claims for Windows 9's power management capabilities.

Price :

It is speculated that Windows 9 may cost nothing at all. According to the "educated guess" by PC Adviser, Windows 9 is expected to be extremely cheap, if not free. While the latest Apple version of OS X comes complementary, there is a huge possibility that Windows 9 may follow the trend and release it for free. This is more so as other products of Microsoft are already selling big.



Release Date :

There are a few schools of thought on the Windows 9 release date. One suggests it's planned for April 2015, which would make it just under two years since Windows 8 was released. This is a reasonably safe bet for a few reasons:
  1. Windows 8 is struggling, so getting the 'next version' out of the door is important to make people forget
  2. It has been suggested that Microsoft wants to reduce the gaps between releases
  3. The original report came from respected Microsoft reporter Paul Thurrot.
Reasons against this theory include that there was no serious mention of Windows 9 at the recent BUILD 2014 conference, Microsoft's annual developers conference. Microsoft did show a sneak peek of a new Start Menu, but this is expected to come in an update to Windows 8 (either as 8.1 Update 2 or Windows 8.2) later this year.

Apple planning to give a new version of MAC i.e ios 8, os x10.10. This OS will launched  for both mobile as well as for PC.Apple allegedly has been moving iOS user interface developers to the OS X teams in order to finish up the new design in time for early June conference.

"The new look will have similar toggle designs to iOS 7, sharper window corners, more defined icons across the system, and more white space than the current version. However, OS X characteristics like the Finder, multi-window multitasking, and Mission Control will not disappear in favor of a more iOS-like experience."


Apple try to push new feature in ios 8 with the feature of ios 7.Though Apple may present most of the new features of iOS 8 at WWDC next month, some notable additions such as transit functionality in Maps may not be available until later versions of iOS 8. 

WWDC may the main focus of ios 8. New features including a fitness focused Healthbook app, which would comb health statistics from various App store apps and third-party fitness devices, a refreshed Maps app with support for public transport directions, a standalone iTunes Radio app, support for voice over LTE calling and even TextEdit and Preview apps transplanted from OS X. However, many of these features may now have been bumped to iOS 8.1, as Apple has started transferring iOS team members to the OS X division in order to finish up the latest version in time for WWDC.

Cloud Computing is latest technology in IT field, which distributed computing over a network where a program or application may run run on more than one computer at same time.
Ex:- Best example of cloud computing is online gaming. We thought i am only play this game but at the same time same game running on a number  of computers.

Cloud computing allows consumers and businesses to use applications without installation and access their personal files at any computer with internet access. This technology allows for much more efficient computing by centralizing data storage, processing and bandwidth.

An another  example of cloud computing is Yahoo email, Gmail,  Hotmail or any other mail. All you need is just an internet connection and you can start sending emails. The server and email management software is all on the cloud  and is totally managed by the cloud service provider Yahoo , Google etc. The consumer gets to use the software alone and enjoy the benefits.

Cloud computing is broken down into three segments:

  1.  Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS):  It΄s the demanded infrastructure for the provisioning of cloud servers.  Basic unit of IaaS is a Cloud Server without whom none cloud service would be possible.  What makes Interworks unique is the provisioning of not  just a Virtual Private Server (VPS) but a Cloud Server with capabilities like failover, escalating and cluster (the capability of combining cloud servers so a farm structure with active/passive or active/active cluster is possible) and dedicated resources (for example dedicated memory versus shared memory that is used by virtual private servers).   
  2. Platform as a Service PaaS provides all the infrastructure needed to run applications over the Internet. Inter-works provides PaaS composed by two sections.  The first section includes the operational platform Web Serve. With Web serve, performing administration and distaned parametralization of IaaS as well as SaaS applications installed in Iaas is feasible.   The second section includes APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), supporting connectivity of a system (eg web service) with server capabilities. For example, an IT Manager doesn't have to set up a mail server from scratch, but he can use the specific API of PaaS to meet his need.
  3. Software as a Service:   Its software applications operating as a service via the internet, also known as On Demand or Web Based or On line Software.   Inter-works, as Microsoft S+S Incubation Center (MIC) provides SaaS Applications of ISVs hosted at MIC.

Rather than purchasing expensive systems and equipment for your business, you can reduce your costs by using the resources of your cloud computing service provider. You may be able to reduce your operating costs because:


  • the cost of system upgrades, new hardware and software may be included in your contract
  • you no longer need to pay wages for expert staff
  • your energy consumption costs may be reduced
  • there are fewer time delays.
Scalability: Your business can scale up or scale down your operation and storage needs quickly to suit your situation, allowing flexibility as your needs change. Rather than purchasing and installing expensive upgrades yourself, your cloud computer service provider can handle this for you. Using the cloud frees up your time so you can get on with running your business. 


Collaboration : Collaboration in a cloud environment gives your business the ability to communicate and share more easily outside of the traditional methods. If you are working on a project across different locations, you could use cloud computing to give employees, contractors and third parties access to the same files. You could also choose a cloud computing model that makes it easy for you to share your records with your advisers. 

Flexibility: Cloud computing allows employees to be more flexible in their work practices. For example, you have the ability to access data from home, on holiday, or via the commute to and from work (providing you have an internet connection). If you need access to your data while you are off-site, you can connect to your virtual office, quickly and easily.

DIFFERENT TYPE OF MEMORIES USED IN ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM


CPU REGISTER
  1. In computer architecture CPU register are the smallest part of storage.
  2. They are the fastest storage memory in any computer.
  3. They are at the top in memory hierarchy.
  4. They are also called processor register.
  5. They are use for processor calculations.
They are of different type .

  • DATA Register hold the data of integer, float and character type.
  • ADDRESS Register hold the address of instruction and indirectly access  to the main memory.
  • GENERAL Purpose Registers hold the both address and data i.e., they are combined Data/Address registers.
  • FLOATING Point Registers stores the float type data . 
  • CONSTANT Registers stores some constant values like one,zero,pi and etc.


CACHE
  1. In computer system cache is an important memory which stores data and access it very fast.
  2. It is less faster then CPU resisters but it has more memory space then CPU registers.
  3. Cache act as intermediate between main memory (RAM) and secondary memory (hard disk).
  4. If data found in cache then it is faster process otherwise it is miss.   
  5. The transfer of data from hard derive to cache done with the help of replacement policy.

MAIN MEMORY

  • Main Memory is also faster memory of computer system.
  • It is also called volatile memory because it lost all data after power off.
  • It is RAM(Random Access Memory) in computer system.
  • RAM is considered “random access” because you can access any memory cell directly if you know the row and column that intersect at that cell.
  • RAM is made in electronic chips made of so called semiconductor material, just like processors and many other types of chips.

There are two basic types of RAM :
  1. Dynamic Ram
  2. Static Ram
Dynamic RAM : loses its stored information in a very short time  even when power supply is on. D-RAM’s are cheaper & lower.

In the most common form of computer memory, Dynamic Memory Cell, represents a single bit of data. The capacitor holds the bit of information – a 0 or a 1. The transistor acts as a switch that lets the control circuitry on the memory chip read the capacitor or change its state. A capacitor is like a small bucket that is able to store electrons. To store a 1 in the memory cell, the bucket is filled with electrons.

To store a 0, it is emptied. The problem with the capacitor’s bucket is that it has a leak. In a matter of a few milliseconds a full bucket becomes empty. Therefore, for dynamic memory to work, either the CPU or the Memory Controller has to come along and recharge all of the capacitors holding it before they discharge. To do this, the memory controller reads the memory and then writes it right back. This refresh operation happens automatically thousands of times per second.

This refresh operation is where dynamic RAM gets its name. Dynamic RAM has to be dynamically refreshed all of the time or it forgets what it is holding. The downside of all of this refreshing is that it takes time and slows down the memory.

Static RAM : uses a completely different technology. S-RAM retains stored information only as long as the power supply is on. Static RAM’s are costlier and consume more power. They have higher speed than D-RAMs. They store information in Hip-Hope.

In static RAM, a form of flip-flop holds each bit of memory. A flip-flop for a memory cell takes four or six transistors along with some wiring, but never has to be refreshed. This makes static RAM significantly faster than dynamic RAM. However, because it has more parts, a static memory cell takes up a lot more space on a chip than a dynamic memory cell. Therefore, you get less memory per chip, and that makes static RAM a lot more expensive. Static RAM is fast and expensive, and dynamic RAM is less expensive and slower. Static RAM is used to create the CPU’s speed sensitive cache, while dynamic RAM forms the larger system RAM space.


HARD DERIVE

BIG DATA 


Big data is a buzzword, or catch-phrase, used to describe a massive volume of both structured and unstructured data that is so large that it's difficult to process using traditional database and software techniques. In most enterprise scenarios the data is too big or it moves too fast or it exceeds current processing capacity.
  • Velocity. Data is streaming in at unprecedented speed and must be dealt with in a timely manner. RFID tags, sensors and smart metering are driving the need to deal with torrents of data in near-real time. Reacting quickly enough to deal with data velocity is a challenge for most organizations.
  • Variety. Data today comes in all types of formats. Structured, numeric data in traditional databases. Information created from line-of-business applications. Unstructured text documents, email, video, audio, stock ticker data and financial transactions. Managing, merging and governing different varieties of data is something many organizations still grapple WITH.
  • Variability. In addition to the increasing velocities and varieties of data, data flows can be highly inconsistent with periodic peaks. Is something trending in social media? Daily, seasonal and event-triggered peak data loads can be challenging to manage. Even more so with unstructured data involved.
  • Complexity. Today's data comes from multiple sources. And it is still an undertaking to link, match, cleanse and transform data across systems. However, it is necessary to connect and correlate relationships, hierarchies and multiple data linkages or your data can quickly spiral out of control.
